Ellen Larabee, MA, LPCC

Owner and Counselor

My therapy style is empathetic, insightful, reflective, humorous and goal-affirming. I have always had a "quirky" sense of humor and I love that I can bring that into session with me. Sometimes being able to laugh or to see the absurdity of life shakes loose the obstacles and anxiety.  I use elements from mindfulness, family systems and clinical hypnotherapy. My initial goal is to connect with you and your experiences in your world, ask questions, provide feedback, and use interventions to rebuild and reinforce your sense of self and your place in the universe.

My therapy style is  intuitive, compassionate, understanding,  reassuring, and holistic.  I am honored to assist my clients during  times of uncertainty and find great joy in watching them overcome obstacles.     I strive to teach skills such as self-compassion, mindfulness, and acceptance.  I love being a counselor because I believe in the resilience of the human heart, and I find it to be a privilege to walk along side of others while they heal and find their own way.
